The Heart Of Britain
The Red Well Inn situated at the gateway to the lush countryside that surrounds us. The Red Well has a wealth of history being a stone's throw away from the Holy Well, a must see when visiting Barnard Castle.
The Red Well name comes from the holy well's red appearance due to weathering and natural minerals expelled from beneath. The pub itself has been known as the watering hole for many years, where travellers from the 1800s would use the pub as a half-way point.
Today, The Red Well lives strong with a totally British offering, from British beers, British produce & of course the character of a great British pub like no other.
Welcome to The Red Well Inn.
